Template:Unsigned

This template is used to mark comments that are not signed with ~~~~.

Usage

For registered users

{{unsigned|Username|Timestamp}}

Example:

{{unsigned|JohnSmith|12:34, 1 January 2025 (UTC)}}

Result: — Preceding comment added by JohnSmith (talk • contribs)12:34, 1 January 2025 (UTC)

For IP addresses

{{unsigned|IP=192.0.2.1|12:34, 1 January 2025 (UTC)}}

Example:

Parameters

• 1 or IP: The username or IP address of the user who made the unsigned comment
• 2: The timestamp of the comment (date and time)
• 3: (optional) Additional timestamp information

This template is used to identify the author of an unsigned comment in a discussion.
